Picture this, it’s 8am and your wizzing around the beautiful port of Dartmouth, desperate to find one of the last parking spots for the day close enough to the jetty so you can easily head out to sea with the team first thing. Bags and supplies of sun cream, water, snacks in hand, there is only one more thing that’s required....coffee! Thankfully we are in luck, as Woodroast, Dartmouth is open (best coffee in town). Now the start of the day is perfect.
Our crew are happy and set for the day on Team Hattiers Rib on loan from Brig UK. Rum Runner as she’s been named (you’ve got to name boats), is ready to chase the fleet and catchup with our friends onboard Team Bandit in Start Bay as preparations for the day of yacht racing are underway. Helming such a powerful and capable rib with rum aplenty onboard as the three course racing fleet head out for the day feels triumphant!
We count ourselves privileged to live in the South West and in particular in the South Hams, Devon.
A perfect summers day on the water followed by rum. Who could ask for more?
