Dawn wowed the London restaurant scene as a sommelier in some of the capital’s hottest spots, including Zuma and The Ledbury before joining Selfridges as head wine and spirits buyer where she was awarded a series of drink retailing awards for her pioneering approach. In 2015, she became head buyer at The Whisky Exchange/Speciality Drinks, and is also a Master of Wine.
The Whisky Exchange is the worlds largest online spirits retailer, which provides the internet’s best selection of spirits and liqueurs to retail customers. The trade side of the business, Speciality Drinks has more than doubled in size in the last five years under Dawns time at the helm of spirits buying.

Our relationship with Dawn began at our launch. Somewhat of a rarity for a small and unknown rum brand to achieve a listing with one of the UK's largest wholesale and retail businesses. Our founder Philip remembers with pride being asked 'how did you do it? Dawn is the busiest woman in the industry, paired with one of the finest palates!'.
